Welcome to the Maplewood North Lions Club webpage!
We've been serving the Maplewood community since 1964. We raise money through fundraisers, we return that money to needy causes in the community, we pitch in and help out with service projects, and we try to have fun and celebrate fellowship at all times.
There's no finer service organization in the world than Lions Clubs International. If you want to do something good for our community and meet folks from all walks of life while you're doing it, contact Lion Clare Haider, our Membership Chair, at 651-489-7380 today.
No Dinner meetings in June, July and August - enjoy the extra summer evening with friends, family or helping our community.
Lioness Meeting Wednesday, June 10th, 11:30 a.m. at the Maplewood Olive Garden.

We had a good time at the 45th Annual Charter Night Meeting on Tuesday, May 5th. Special thanks to Lion Carol Farley, our newly elected 2nd Vice District Governor, who was on hand to swear in the officers. Lion Jeanne Daugherty deserves special thanks for planning the meeting. Thanks, too, to Lion Roger Green for emceeing.
White Cane Days will be recognized on Saturday, June 6 at the Rainbow Foods Store on White Bear Avenue. Thanks to Lion Gene Haugen for organizing this event. If you didn't get a chance to volunteer, stop by between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to throw some money into the White Cane collection buckets.
The Lions International Convention is in the Twin Cities July 6 - 10. Those who wish to volunteer as greeters, guides, etc. should contact Lion President Judy Nilan or Lion Secretary Gene Haugen.
The White Bear Avenue (Ramsey County Fair) Parade will be Wednesday, July 8th. We'll be in the parade with the District float again this year!
The Lions Family Picnic will be Monday, August 10th at Lion Joe Moos's apartment complex. Stay tuned for more details.
We collect used eyeglasses! They are truly the "gift of sight" to people in third world countries. In fact, we collected 4,375 pairs last year! If you've got old eyeglasses to contribute, drop them in a collection box at your local optical shop or call any Lion!
