Welcome to the Maplewood North Lions Club webpage!

We've been serving the Maplewood community since 1964. We raise money through fundraisers, we return that money to needy causes in the community, we pitch in and help out with service projects, and we try to have fun and celebrate fellowship at all times.

There's no finer service organization in the world than Lions Clubs International. If you want to do something good for our community and meet folks from all walks of life while you're doing it, contact Lion Clare Haider, our Membership Chair, at 651-489-7380 today.

Activities :

The November Dinner Meeting is Tuesday, November 3 at Gulden's Restaurant. 6:30 social, 7 p.m. dinner.

Thanks to Lion Marv Bjostad for supplying chili for the MAC Walk on October 3. It's always a big hit!

November Business Meeting - Tuesday, November 17th - 7 p.m. at Lion Joe Moos's Apartment complex- call Lion Joe for directions (651) 770-6384.

Lioness Meeting is Wednesday, November 11th, 1 p.m. at Cross Lutheran Church.

Region 1 Fall Meeting is Wednesday, November 11th, 6:30 p.m. at Gulden's Restaurant. Dinner is $15 for a buffet.

Our condolences to Lion Clare Haider and his family with the passing of Lioness Loretta Haider. Loretta was a long time member of the Maplewood North Lioness and worked on many projects with us over the years. She will be dearly missed.

The Annual Christmas Party will have a "change of venue" this year, moving to D'Avita Ristorante, 2112 - 11th Avenue, North St. Paul on Tuesday, December 1. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. Meal choices are Fettucini Alfredo, Seafood Linguini and Italian Sampler. Cost is $16.95. Call Lion Dick Dean at 651-777-6572 to make your reservation by November 25.

We collect used eyeglasses! They are truly the "gift of sight" to people in third world countries. In fact, we collected 4,375 pairs last year! If you've got old eyeglasses to contribute, drop them in a collection box at your local optical shop or call any Lion!
